Chief Executive Officer / Founder
James entered recruitment in 1997 at a now established FTSE 250 company and within a year was recognised as the highest fee earning recruiter within the business.
A rapid rise through the ranks afterwards saw James responsible for managing and developing the South West region into one of the most profitable regions in the group.
James founded G2 Recruitment in 2004, developing the business from scratch into a company on the Sunday Times Fasttrack list of companies within 4 years.
Following onwards James provided the overall multi brand strategy of the business and created the G2V group. He is responsible for the group structure and also the strategy of growth into the International marketplaces, which has included the creation of the groups first International office in Houston, TX.
James is a graduate in Land Management and is passionate about the continued growth of the group and the development of our international footprint over the coming years.
Director / Founder
A founding member of G2V, Simon Gillings graduated with a 2:1 in Sports Science from the University of Luton. He immediately launched into a career in sales, before making the move to recruitment in 2000.
In 2004, holding the title of South West Contracts Manager at an established FTSE 250 company, and with over three successful years of recruitment experience, Simon founded g2 Recruitment alongside James Gorfin, CEO. As the Managing Director of g2 Recruitment, he is responsible for the sales direction of the Bristol and London offices as well as having an integral part in the day to day running of G2V Group.
Simon has been a key driver in implementing successful sales strategy across G2V Group.
Colin, a qualified accountant for over 20 years, joined G2V in March 2015, following eight years as the Group Finance Director of Avanta Enterprise Limited, which culminated in the successful sale of the Business to Staffline Group PLC for £65m.
He brings with him a wealth of financial and commercial experience and has aided the development and growth of businesses across a range of sectors, including recruitment with Spring Group PLC and Xansa PLC.
As a member of the Board, he has and will continue to bring significant strategic and commercial acumen to bear, in support of the Group’s ambitious plans. He has been instrumental in restructuring and reorganising the Finance Department to fully underpin and service the needs of the business. Under his direction, Finance is an established fit for purpose, scalable and value-add department.
Ryan joined G2V in October 2015 after spending 15 years with a leading FTSE 250 company during which time he accumulated a wealth of recruitment experience encompassing both sales and operations. Ryan has successfully implemented and managed global operations & business change projects across multiple business areas that have enabled diversification and growth.
As a member of the G2V board he is responsible for overseeing global operations functions across G2V and ensuring the operations strategy supports the business and assists the Group’s ambitious expansion plans.
Ryan is a graduate of Queens University Belfast, holding a MSc in Information Management and a BA (Hons) Modern History & Politics.
UK Sales Director, Vivid Resourcing
Luke joined Vivid Resourcing in February 2009, following a very successful cricketing career playing for Warwickshire County Cricket Club. During his sporting career he captained three 1st class cricket teams as well as graduating from Oxford Brooks University with a degree in Business Management.
Having joined Vivid Resourcing as a consultant Luke is a true example of the organic growth of the organisation, progressing up the management ladder from Consultant to Director.
Luke is responsible for all aspects of sales across Vivid’s UK offices and has been a key part of Vivid’s exceptional growth and success. He will continue to manage the strategic growth of business ensuring the retention of key clients and engaging new exciting business both in the UK and overseas.
UK Sales Director, g2 Recruitment
Tim joined G2V in 2009 after having ran a successful b2b Telecommunications company, which is still going strong in Bristol today. Starting his G2V career as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant for g2 Recruitment, he worked his way up through the ranks to UK Sales Director in just over seven years.
Tim is responsible for all contract and permanent sales activity across all of g2’s UK sites. Having proved instrumental in increasing g2’s business with IT, Engineering and Pharmaceutical clients in Europe, he will ensure that sales strategy supports the growth of the business across the UK into further physical locations.

2014 was another year of exceptional organic growth for the G2V Group that saw our turnover approach £60 million – this growth looks set to continue throughout the rest of 2015.
